What Grade Would You Get on a Spiritual Test?

Every person in the world goes through one trial (at least) in their lives. This can be a variety of different situations in a variety of different people. Maybe you lost your job, your best friend moved away, going through a tough breakup, medical problems, loss of a family member, lost scholarship, or school struggles. Whatever the situation may be God wants it to help you grow and mature to have good christian qualities. Each of our trials are specifically designed for our areas of improvement. In James 1:2-4 it says, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." Instead of looking at the negative of the downfalls of your situation think about the ways you can become better from it. Ask yourself, why is God wanting me to see through this trial?

God wants us to be able to endure pain in our physical lives so that we may build Godly qualities like patience, self control, love, and kindness. But sometimes it is hard to see that he can use our trials to show us that we must be dependent on him. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 says, "For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our[a]trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life.Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead..." We are to never put all of our trust in ourselves. Instead we must turn to the lord so that we may be lead in the right direction.

We all have taken academic tests, but what about a spiritual one? A spiritual test will help us to see our areas of struggle so that we may find ways to focus our attention towards them. 1 Peter 1:6-7 "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be,you have been[a]grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ..." Our tests are used to train us spiritually for the future with Christ. So that we may serve him fully!

If we have doubt about our faith in anyway, God will use our trials to show that through faith we get through it all. If we our in a situation where their seems like there is no solution, through our strong hope God will get us through. "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed;we are perplexed, but not in despair;persecuted, but not forsaken;struck down, but not destroyed—10 always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body." 2 Corinthians 4:7-10

God is not finished with you yet! There is still so much we have to be taught and apply to our lives. More difficulties and trials lie ahead, but one thing is for certain, God will always be their for us. He will never forsake us! God will never give us a trial that we can not learn from. Everything God does is for the greater good.

Remember Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and of good courage,do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God,He is the One who goes with you.He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
